CPSB (Calcasieu Parish School Board)

With rising concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Governor John Bel Edwards has closed all K-12 schools until April 13. This includes all Calcasieu Parish School Board schools and facilities and all CPSB events.

We will provide updates to families and the general public by 4 p.m. every Friday.

While the Calcasieu Parish School Board is fully capable of transitioning to an online educational platform, we cannot guarantee equal access and accommodations for all students, so this is not a viable option. However, we will be providing online educational resources that our families are welcome to utilize during this closure.

Here is the link ( https://www.cpsb.org/Page/11849) where those resources can be found, as well as general updates and information about the closure. Simply click on the main Coronavirus Information button on our main website or visit www.cpsb.org/coronavirus. These resources are provided by school district staff and cover all grade levels.

We know that many questions may arise during this time, and we are prepared to assist families however possible. There is a Frequently Asked Questions link on the above referenced website, and questions can also be sent directly to info@cpsb.org. Additionally, updates and information will be shared via the district’s social media channels, and questions can be submitted there as well.

Check back daily for updates we may have
